It’s Monday Morning: Eat the Frog!

Frog

If you’ve never heard the term “Eat the Frog,” it’s time you added it to your Monday morning ritual.

Do you have something that’s been on your “To Do” list for weeks now that you just haven’t done because you think it will take too much time or you don’t know how to begin? Were you lying in bed last night thinking about that call you have to make today that you just dread? Maybe it’s an unhappy customer, or maybe it’s a talk with an employee about performance. Is there something eating at you every Friday afternoon before you shut down that you just feel like you really should do, but you run out of time every single week? Well, if so, it’s time to “Eat the Frog!”.

“Eat the frog” refers to getting that one thing done on your list that you just REALLY don’t want to do. Maybe it’s because it’s something you’re not sure how to do. Maybe it’s because it’s something your uncomfortable doing. Or, maybe you just simply don’t like it. But, it HAS to be done!

Reserve the first hour of your week to “Eat the Frog.” It may mean you need to get to work an hour early or you may need block your schedule for the first hour of the day, but if you do this one thing, you are sure to have a better week. You’ll start your week off with a great sense of accomplishment, with a great outlook on the week ahead.

Now, go, Eat your frog!
