Shauna Huntington is the Founder and President of Fortiviti LLC. Shauna grew up on a farm in a small rural community in central Kansas (Marquette). Growing up on a farm, Shauna saw passion and hard work in everyday life, getting her excited about small business and entrepreneurship at a young age. She started her entrepreneurship journey, by opening a dance studio in college, supporting her college education.

After graduating with an accounting degree from Kansas State University in 2003, Shauna started her accounting career with KPMG in Dallas. Working with clients in various industries; manufacturing, retail, service and automotive; Shauna gained diverse experience in accounting operations.

Shauna eventually landed in the Kansas City area, as a Controller for a national healthcare staffing company, Favorite Healthcare Staffing. FHS was started in the early 1980’s, with one client and grew to a multi-million dollar privately-held company with more than 50 branch locations. Working for such an entrepreneurial company led Shauna back to her passion for small business.

In 2008, Shauna started Huntington Small Business Solutions (now Fortiviti) to help take the burden of business off the shoulders of business owners. The company was started with the idea that most business owners get into business without the knowledge of what they are really getting into!

Shauna’s current role in the business is to develop: client relationships, company culture and operational strategy. In addition, Shauna currently serves on the board of the Kansas City Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) as President-Elect and is involved with various other business and community organizations.

Shauna lives with her husband Dan, daughter Emory (5) and son Hayden (3) in rural Spring Hill. She enjoys reading, running and volunteering activities. Shauna and her husband also like sports and traveling. They are season ticket holders to Kansas State football and Sporting KC. A common chant around their house is “I Believe that We Will Win!”
