Amy Merritt

Amy has a master’s in accountancy from Baylor University, with over a decade of experience in the vibrant business landscape of Austin, TX. Having transitioned to Kansas City five years ago, her expertise spans both public and corporate accounting, with experience in startup ventures. Amy's dedication to going the extra mile for her clients aligns with Fortiviti's values, where she finds particular resonance is with the core value of doing the extras. Recognizing proper accounting as the backbone of any successful business operation, she wants to be that value add to her clients.

 

In her community, Amy and her family contribute their time and energy to various church-related activities. Additionally, she serves as a dedicated member of the high school booster club, championing the success of the tennis team.

 

Beyond her professional commitments, Amy finds joy and fulfillment in her roles as a wife and mother of two daughters. Tennis is a shared passion for the entire family, all of them having played in high school and subsequently becoming members of a local KC tennis club upon relocating. Amy's daughters also participate in diving, leading to countless hours spent at the poolside. For leisure, she likes exploring local wineries, indulging in the art of wine tasting. Amy also nurtures her green thumb with gardening, with a special focus on cultivating a thriving vegetable garden, despite occasional battles with hungry squirrels. As a member of FiA, an outdoor, women-centric, and cost-free exercise group, she discovered a sanctuary of "me time" during the challenges of the COVID era.
