With a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and a master’s degree from Emporia State University, Indi has a solid educational foundation propping up her almost decade-long accounting career. Her journey took an unexpected turn from pre-med aspirations to the world of accounting, initially through a role at a commercial printing company. It was there that Indi credits her boss for guiding her through that transition. During that pivotal period, she had the opportunity to construct the accounting department from scratch, gaining valuable insight into its various components. The array of comprehensive accounting and back-office services for small businesses was a key component that attracted her to Fortiviti. Indi is currently studying for her CPA exam, excited to be a trusted advisor to her clients.

Indi is the owner of BIVA Beauty Boutique, a thriving small business located in Topeka, set to celebrate its two-year milestone in September 2023. The boutique holds a special place as a family venture, with Indi using it as a platform to introduce the spirit of entrepreneurship to her family. Collaboratively run, the front-end is managed by her mother and sister, while Indi oversees the back-end operations.

Family is extremely important to Indi – she has a great relationship with her siblings and mother, and her and her husband have been married for over 5 years. A travel enthusiast, Kenya has captured her heart as a favorite destination as it is where her husband is from. Indi invests her spare time in her store, which reflects her true entrepreneurial self. Alongside her passion for cooking - samosas are her specialty - sewing also occupies her interests, and she aspires to reignite this hobby towards the goal of establishing her own clothing line one day.
