Shortly after graduating from the University of Kansas, Meley started working at an advertising firm in their Accounting Department. A few years in she decided to continue her education and earned her MBA at Baker University. During the MBA program Meley switched to the healthcare staffing industry where over the next 14 years she gained experience in not only accounting, but also multi-state payroll tax laws, benefits administration and management.

Since 2017, Meley has put her accounting skills to use for both her daughter’s Girl Scout troops as a Cookie Mom. Every February cookies overtake her home prior to being sorted and picked up by each Girl Scout! She also volunteers at her church teaching Sunday school during the school year.

Meley enjoys spending her free time with her husband Tom and two daughters, Lily and Samantha. The family loves spending time attempting to play catch with their rescue dog, Carl, but usually ends up in a game of keep away. The whole family loves camping and every year attends a blue grass festival in Winfield, KS.
