Ok – we HAVE to post about the Royals! Fortiviti calls Kansas City home and it is a great time to be in Kansas City! It’s not just that the Royals are going to the World Series for the first time in nearly 30 years (though that’s pretty awesome!). But, it’s how they are playing and how the whole country is getting behind them, that’s making it so fun. It’s great to see the country rally behind a team that is not just a great baseball team, but that also has class and respect for the teams and fans of those that they play – that’s the Midwest for you!

The Royals are great for one simple reason. They are a TEAM. There is not one single player that made this possible. Or, even a couple. The entire team has had to put forth their very best effort every night. You don’t tend to hear the word “scrappy” when describing baseball (I feel like that’s typically more of a basketball term), but man are these guys scrappy! I mean, Billy Butler stole a base!! They get out there and just make it happen, play after play. It is so exciting to watch.

We’re working at Fortiviti to build this kind of team. We’re a “we” company. Putting forth our best effort in everything we do – we can see through the Royals that it pays off!
